Leicester Apprenticeship Hub Launch Event
For the past few months, Leicester City Council have been engaging with local training providers and ATAs looking at for a new way to support employers across the County with their apprenticeship opportunities and St Martins House on Peacock Lane, Leicester is be the venue for the 5th March 2014 launch of Leicester Apprenticeship Hub – a Leicester to Work initiative to drive and create new apprenticeship opportunities.
Originating in November 2011′s Education and Skills Growth Review and developed in a review led by Jason Holt, CEO of Holts Group of Companies and published in May 2012, Leicester Apprenticeship Hub is an exciting new project that will provide a range of services to Leicestershire businesses, including advice, guidance and support as well as a new financial grant incentive of up to £1500 (alongside the standard Age Grant of £1500) should SMEs take on an applicants from the city.
The event will be hosted by Councillor Rory Palmer, Deputy City Mayor, and key partner organisations such as the National Apprenticeship Service and local training providers will be in attendance along with a number of local employers.
Places are limited and attendance is by invitation only.
