Employee Training – Without the Absence!
As employers, we all know that there are some instances when it is necessary for our staff to take time off for training; whether that be for Health and Safety, Fire Marshall training, or a wealth of other courses. However, each business also recognises that the cost of these courses reaches beyond the simple fee for the course itself. A training course will typically last at least one full working day, and so, as an employer, you must also count the cost of having an absent employee for a day. The employee themselves of course, is probably in the position of having to squeeze five days’ worth of work into four.
An Answer? Consider Online Training Courses!
Separated into a series of training videos, many of these courses can now be taken online in smaller chunks, allowing employees to complete the training at their desk and fit it around their day-to-day work. Although courses are unlikely to be completed quite so quickly, i.e. in one day, the disruption to business will still be much reduced.
As these online training courses can be taken by employees at their convenience, it does also give employers the added benefit of allowing additional employees to gain useful accreditations. This, in turn, gives companies greater flexibility; if more employees have these qualifications, they are then in a stronger position to support the business in different ways.
Where to find Online Training Courses
LRB Consulting Limited has recently launched its very own online video training service, offering employers and employees just this flexibility. LRB Consulting is also giving away a free trial of all its fifteen different online training courses. By being able to complete the first module in the training series before committing to the full course, employers can be reassured that the service really does work for their business and their employees.
“LRB Consulting have carried out Health and Safety Compliance Audits and Fire Risk Assessments for me at a couple of schools. Their approach was supportive, constructive and practical. I have no hesitation is recommending their services to others”
